I have to confess- learning to make pies is an awesome new year resolution and I can't believe I didn't like pies growing up- it was the packaged stuff that I don't care for. Recipe from my favorite book: Pie

Pie! I just made one too, but yours looks much more tantalizing! I tried a recipe for buttermilk pie, or chess pie, and it's pretty tasty- very sugary and buttery but tasty. I had to use a deeper casserole pan, so the crust suffered a bit, and I had to cook it twice as long as directed for some reason (not sure, but took Mom's advice- turned out great). Yum! If only I could send you a piece!
